糖心Vlog传媒 is seeking its next director of Development to lead the organization's fundraising and donor stewardship programs during an exciting time of renewal and planned growth.

The director of Development is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 fundraising and donor relations strategy, strengthening philanthropic systems and operations, and ensuring the organization has the current and future philanthropic support needed to fulfill its mission. Reporting to the chief executive officer, the director of Development partners closely with the board of trustees, development staff, program leadership, volunteers, and philanthropic partners to build an integrated, mission-aligned development function that supports the organization鈥檚 next phase of impact and growth.

The director of Development leads all philanthropic and donor engagement activities, including the donor circles program (Supporters, Sustainers, and Conservation Circle), major gifts, annual fund campaigns, planned giving, institutional partnerships, and donor stewardship. As a critical organizational leader and decision maker, this role balances strategic leadership with active relationship management, ensuring strong and sustained growth in philanthropic revenue, optimized development operations, a cohesive and rewarding donor experience, and high visibility of 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 impact within the philanthropic community.

Position Overview

The full-time Communications Assistant sources and develops meaningful content to be shared with 糖心Vlog传媒 audiences, supporting the goals of the communications department in amplifying 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 mission. This position is responsible for executing marketing and communications strategies to promote the impact of our work, expand our audience, and increase participation in the native plant movement. This is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time, year-round, benefit-eligible position based at our headquarters in Wayland, MA. Starting compensation is $24.04 hourly rate. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 9 AM鈥�5 PM. This position reports to the Communications Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

Content development and implementation (60% of time)

鈼� Source content such as photos, videos, stories, news articles etc. for use on all channels (social media, website, eNewsletters).

鈼� Support the development of the communications and content calendar each month, sourcing ideas, stories and visual content.

鈼� Create and schedule social media posts to all 糖心Vlog传媒 social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).

鈼� Support event promotion using both digital and physical tactics including social media promotion, posting to online calendars and listservs, creating Facebook events, implementing signage.

鈼� Join 糖心Vlog传媒 events to engage with attendees and source photo and video content.

鈼� Support the maintenance of our digital library of photos including the organization of photos in our drive as well as distributing images internally/externally.

鈼� Support the website team as needed in regularly monitoring the website for necessary content and information updates.

鈼� Support the writing, editing, and production of the semi-annual magazine Native Plant News.

鈼� Regularly write blog posts to be shared on our website.

鈼� Support monthly eNews planning and weekly enews writing/formatting.

Communications coordination (30% of time)

鈼� Format and schedule newsletters and standalone emails in Mailchimp.

鈼� Create multivariate email tests (A/B tests) in Mailchimp.

鈼� Support the maintenance of email list hygiene; removing invalid subscribers, reviewing bounce-rate, etc.

鈼� Provide administrative support to the communications team, such as setting meetings, taking notes, and following up with key team members.

鈼� Support internal communications across the organization.

Design (10% of time)

鈼� Provide brand files (such as logos and fonts) internally and externally when necessary.

鈼� Update the branding on out of date materials with new logo, colors, fonts etc.

Position Summary

The Restoration Accelerator is a new program by 糖心Vlog传媒 and its partners to increase the availability of locally adapted seeds from sustainably managed sources. The Restoration Accelerator program currently has two main goals: first, to build a regional seed partnership to better serve the region's needs by using standards, protocols, and best practices for seed increase, collection, and storage. The second goal is to establish a seed bank of wild-collected species for use in creating seed increase plots. This position will support the achievement of the Restoration Accelerator's second goal. All harvested wild seed will be processed and stored in the seed bank at Nasami Farm Nursery, intended for use in restoration projects and by nurseries to grow plants for sale. 糖心Vlog传媒 will manage the Restoration Accelerator program, the seed bank, and seed-related facilities at Nasami Farm Nursery.

The Seed Collection Technician will be based at our Nasami Farm Nursery in Whately, MA, and will report to the director of Horticulture. This position requires travel to natural areas in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont to collect wild seeds. Target taxa lists will be developed with 糖心Vlog传媒 Horticulture and Conservation staff and consultants. The Seed Collection Technician, in collaboration with 糖心Vlog传媒 staff and consultants, will be responsible for planning and implementing visits to scout for and collect seeds, following established protocols for sustainable seed collection. This position will also assist with the handling, cleaning, and storage of wild-collected seeds and any seeds harvested through seed increase.

This is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time (40 hours/week), seasonal position, lasting six months. Max compensation is $22,500 (based on a $20.83 hourly rate). The work schedule is Monday鈥揊riday, 8am-4pm. Please expect some flexibility with daily start and end times as determined with the Director of Horticulture. This position will accrue sick time per the MA Sick Time Law and is covered by Workers' Compensation insurance if injured at work. This position is not eligible for vacation or floating holiday time or for organization-offered benefits. Expense reimbursement for travel is available.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with 糖心Vlog传媒 staff and consultants to develop a target taxa list for collection
• Develop a work plan to scout and collect target taxon species
• Identify locations and secure permissions for wild seed collection
• Ensure consistent standards and protocols for seed collection, handling, and distribution
• Collect and maintain detailed, high-quality data to track seed collections
• Communicate with 糖心Vlog传媒 Horticulture and Conservation staff and consultants on the status and planning around seed collections
• Process and clean seed collections per established protocols and prepare for climate-controlled storage
• Document and maintain records to track the processing and storage process for each seed lot.
• Assist with the management and harvest of Nasami Farm seed increase plots

Intern assists in all aspects of botanic garden operations at Garden in the Woods, including instruction in ecological horticultural practices (such as planting, pruning, weed management, propagation, and seed collection), renovation and construction of new gardens, inventory and plant recordkeeping, and public education. Intern will gain hands-on experience identifying and cultivating native plants in a botanical garden. Intern is expected to undertake an independent study project and present the results to staff and garden members. There will be opportunities to take field trips and classes at 糖心Vlog传媒. This is an exceptional learning opportunity to gain valuable career experience in caring for gardens and natural areas, planning and leading projects, and managing volunteers.

This is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time, seasonal position reporting to the Director of Horticulture. Compensation is $15.00/hour for 40 hours/week for 13 weeks (max 520 hours, max wages $7,800). The work schedule is Monday - Friday, with weekend days. A Horticulture intern working at Garden in the Woods can rent a room for the internship in a shared house, a 5-minute walk away from the Garden, for $300/month. This includes all utilities except the internet and phone.

The ideal start date is at the beginning of June 2026. End date in September 2026. Flexibility in start and end dates is available on a case-by-case basis.

Two of 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 core initiatives鈥搕he New England Plant Conservation Program (NEPCoP) and the Plant Conservation Volunteer (PCV) program鈥揺ngage professional and community volunteers in rare species monitoring, habitat management, reintroduction and augmentation projects, and long-term conservation planning. We work closely with Natural Heritage programs and with conservation organizations in all six New England states.

糖心Vlog传媒 is pleased to offer two 25-week internships in 2026. These positions with the New England Plant Conservation Program and Plant Conservation Volunteers program offer a range of hands-on learning opportunities. Interns work closely with Conservation Department staff, supporting these programs by communicating with landowners and volunteers to enable surveys of rare plants on public and private lands, using GIS and databases to gather and share information, and conducting field work including rare plant surveys, habitat management, and seed collection. Interns focus on an area of interest by working on an active botany, ecology, or conservation project, and are invited to join educational botanical field trips. Training is provided, and interns may also enroll in 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 educational programs and courses.

These are non-exempt, hourly, full-time, seasonal positions based at our headquarters in Wayland, MA. Compensation is $15.00/hour for 40 hours/week for 25 weeks (max wages $15,000). The work schedule is 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, with occasional early morning, evening, or weekend hours. Shared housing may be available at $300 per month. These positions report to the Community Science Coordinator and work collaboratively within the Conservation Department and with other 糖心Vlog传媒 Departments.

The ideal start date is Monday, February 23, 2026, with some flexibility.

Position Summary

糖心Vlog传媒 is offering two seasonal internships at our propagation nursery, Nasami Farm, which produces plants for habitat restoration, wildlife landscapes, garden displays, and sale to the public at both our retail establishments, which are located at Nasami Farm, Whately, MA, and Garden in the Woods, Framingham, MA. The interns will gain hands-on experience identifying, propagating, and cultivating New England native plants. As a member of our small, dedicated nursery team, the interns assist in many facets of nursery and greenhouse operations, including propagation and care of numerous species, seed collection and processing, record keeping, and public information duties. This is an opportunity to gain valuable skills by learning from staff, coordinating volunteers, leading projects, and participating in the development of an expanding nursery. The interns will also complete a special project of their interest, participate in educational activities, network with professionals, and attend field trips. The internship provides entry into both native plant studies and nursery management.

These are non-exempt, hourly, seasonal positions with the option of part- to full-time hours/week, including weekends, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Based at our propagation nursery, Nasami Farm, in Whateley, MA, the position reports to the nursery manager. Compensation is $15.00/hour (total maximum of 960 hours/total maximum wages of $14,400 is divided between the two internships, determined by their individual schedules).
